from one former housewife to another

It's not every day you discover a package at your front door sent by a celeb.

I may have shrieked so loudly my neighbor ran out of his apartment to see what was the matter. Oops.

I'm pretty honest about it.

My not-so-guilty pleasure is reality TV. Ever since I laid eyes on Eric Nies on The Real World: New York back in 1992 (Remember him? Underwear model? Yum then. Now, not so much.), I was hooked to this broadcast phenomena that was still in its infancy.

Needless to say, in 21 years of astute television viewing, I have seen a lot. Top Chef. Temptation Island. Project Runway. Shahs of Sunset. Dog the Bounty Hunter. The Anna Nicole Show. So You Think You Can Dance. Teen Mom. But one of my all time favorites has always been - and will continue to be - Real Housewives of you-name-the-city-anywhere-but-Miami.

I'm sure we can all admit to having a favorite on each of the shows. In the O.C., I'm a Tamra fan (although Heather is pretty fabulous). In Beverly Hills, I so want to be Kyle's friend. Atlanta...they're all crazy bitches. In it's short existence, I liked Lynda in D.C. But NYC, I forever adored Bethenny

So when I was invited to join several other Cleveland bloggers at the #CallingAllMyGirls event hosted by Bethenny, I was bummed.

Note: in all fairness, Adam Levine did "ask" first. And in hindsight, we had a miserable time at the concert. Everyone's ok, and I'll spare you all the details, but let's just say it involved tears, an ambulance and not seeing the entire show.

I enjoyed reading my friends' tweets and blog posts about Bethenny's CLE event but I had a tinge of envy over everyone's photos. I mean - they were side-by-side WITH BETHENNY FRANKEL. So this surprise delivery made my day.

And yes, you know I totally Googled "Bethenny Frankel autograph" to see if this is a handwritten note from her or not. You be the judge, but I know what I think!

My gorgeous friends, Kimberly of Smitten in Cleveland and Charlene of Life in the CLE, are heading to NYC for the premiere of Bethenny's new show, and I couldn't be happier for them. Both of them are sassy, smart, and independent - all qualities I admire in Bethenny.

Without women like them in my life, I'd never would have gotten through my separation and my divorce. Watching Bethenny on TV, I felt I had a chance to grow my career and still be a loving mom. I saw a fairytale marriage deteriorate and a strong woman in the public eye overcome obstacles gracefully. Bethenny is unapologetic for who she is... as a now ex-wife, I can truly appreciate - and love - that!

Can you be starstruck without even meeting the celebrity? Because I am. Bethenny, will you be my bestie?

Disclosure: "Bethenny" provided me with a tote bag of goodies because I was unable to attend an event hosted in Northeast Ohio. I was not given any guidelines nor instructed on what to write. Because we all know, I always have an opinion and I rarely keep it to myself.
